Developing the French International School network, a French priority

On March 20, 2018, the President of the Republic set the goal of doubling the number of students in French schools abroad by 2030.

Jean-Yves Le Drian, Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Michel Blanquer, Minister of National Education and Youth, and the Secretary of State to the Minister of Europe and Affaires Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, have worked on developing a plan for the development of French education abroad, which has been widely consulted by all stakeholders.

The objectives of the development plan for French education abroad are as follows:

  • Welcoming more students;
  • Support the growth of existing institutions and the creation of new schools;
  • For a better association between the families and the life of the school;
  • Better support the network through increased mobilization of embassies.
