Sophie WIERRE
LFIR Director and TPS/ PS Teacher
A graduate of the French Ministry of Education, Sophie has over 20 years’ experience in teaching and more than 5 years as a director. She has taught in mainland France, in the French overseas departments (DOM) and in several French schools abroad.
A true globetrotter, Sophie joined the LFIR in 2024 as head teacher and now she’s teaching TPS/PS class. She appreciates the cultural diversity of the pupils and the caring, stimulating and learning-friendly environment at LFIR.
Anna SCELLIER
TPS/ PS Teacher
Trained as an occupational therapist and with experience in a parental nursery, Anna has always placed people at the heart of her work.
After returning from France, she now joins LFIR with enthusiasm, believing in nurturing every child’s unique potential within a rich multicultural environment.
Vincent LEDUC
MS GS Teacher
A former professional football player, Vincent retrained as a sports teacher and discovered a real passion for education.
Vincent has taught children from preschool to middle school in various countries including Myanmar, and is very happy to be back in Yangon.
Vincent’s sense of fun and boundless energy are only matched by the children’s!
Pauline BUCHLEITHER
CP CE1 Teacher
Pauline holds a Master’s degree in education and has taught in France, Thailand, and Cambodia.
She teaches CP and CE1, enjoying how learning to read helps children gain independence and discover the world.
She values LFIR’s close-knit, multicultural environment and is committed to helping every child grow and thrive.
Yannick MICHEL
CE2/ CM1/ CM2 teacher
Yannick has taught for two years in France and spent last year at the French school of Podgorica in Montenegro.
At LFIR, he teaches CE2, CM1, and CM2. He values the school’s human scale, allowing him to focus on student progress, and brings energy to help each child reach their potential.
Alexis WIERRE
College, History, Geography teacher
Alexis Wierre joined LFIR in September 2024, bringing over 20 years of experience in education through sports and coaching.
Passionate about guiding young adults and fostering teamwork, he values LFIR’s supportive environment and is dedicated to shaping students’ futures alongside a committed team.
Rubina BIANCHETTI
College, Maths, Science teacher
With 8 years of teaching experience and a passion for science, Rubina supports middle school students at LFIR as a dedicated teaching assistant.
She values the school’s warm and diverse community and is committed to encouraging curiosity, motivation, and active engagement in every learner.
Tatiana MEIJER
College, Français teacher
Tatiana holds a Master’s in Communications and a Post-Graduate degree in Secondary Teaching for French, with 10 years of experience teaching in the Netherlands and Jordan.
As LFIR’s Assistant Pedagogical Coordinator for CNED French and Middle School Coordinator, she supports students’ smooth transitions and welcomes new teachers and families to the community.
Aye Myat Thu @ Jenny
Preschool Assistant Teacher
With over 6 years of experience in education projects and training in early childhood development, Jenny supports MS and GS students in their daily learning.
Passionate about French and working with children, she finds joy in creating a caring, supportive environment where every child feels safe, included, and inspired.
Gamone Pwint Nan Khin
English teacher
A passionate and active teacher with experience in different international schools, Gamone joined the LFIR in 2022.
She teaches English to all levels, from preschool to middle school.

Marie-Laure Abel
Secretary
A constant presence at the LFIR since 2009, Marie-Laure has inner knowledge of the school, its history and its vision. She is the first point of contact for families and liaises between all, inside and outside the school.
She is assisted by efficient Wine, an expert in local administration.
Victor DUFORT
Administrative & Financial Director
Victor joined LFIR in September 2025, bringing to the school’s department of administration and finance his multiple years of experience in Myanmar working for INGOs for Microfinance and Entrepreneurship programs.
He is paired with Ma Kywe Kywe, who as a longstanding experience of LFIR’s finance.
Kywe Kywe Myint
Finance Comptable
Kywe Kywe Myint, who joined LFIR in 2018, brings expertise in finance and a passion for supporting a vibrant, child-centered environment.
Her skills and dedication make her a key member of the team.
Wine Wutyee Ye Tint
Assistant Secretary
Wine joined LFIR in August 2018 with over ten years of experience in travel operations.
She manages all school operations and administrative tasks, including the day-to-day running of the school, handling inquiries from local Burmese parents, and supporting the admission process.
Known for her warm and organized nature, Wine is an essential member of the LFIR team and enjoys contributing to its vibrant environment.
Andrea Thazin
Communication Officer
Andrea joined LFIR in 2024 with a background in marketing and communications.
She has since been working to support the school’s outreach and engagement through clear and effective communication.
At LFIR, Andrea enjoys contributing to the school community and helping share its values with families.
Moe Oo Aung
Supervisor
Moe Oo Aung joined LFIR in September 2024. As a UFL student, Moe is eager to explore the French education system and gain valuable work experience.
