Welcome to the French International School of Yangon Joseph Kessel!
The LFIR, part of the AEFE (Agency for French Education Abroad) network, offers a fully accredited program by the French Ministry of Education, starting from preschool (small section) to CM2. From there, CNED continues up to 4ème (8th grade)
We are proud to be the only AEFE-affiliated school in Myanmar. With over 580 schools across 139 countries, AEFE represents the largest global network of international schools.
Choosing LFIR means choosing a school that values a family-like environment while holding great ambitions. We strive for excellence, not only in welcoming students and families but also in offering a rich and varied educational experience.
Our ambition extends to providing a multicultural environment that enriches students’ perspectives. LFIR Opens Admissions for 2026–2027
The French International School Yangon (LFIR) is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 academic year. The new school year will begin on August 31, 2026, with enrollment open year-round starting now. Families interested in discovering the school are warmly invited to visit the campus and meet the teachers to learn more about LFIR and its educational approach. We are proud to announce that our school has officially attained Level 2 EFE3D Certification! What makes LFIR Yangon school different?
